For Gen Z, the Indian political landscape often feels like a perpetual state of waiting for a bus that never arrives. We’re the generation armed with degrees, fluent in memes, and deeply disillusioned by a system that prioritizes legacy over merit. The Cockroach Janta Party (TCJP) was born from this collective exhaustion, a space for us to articulate demands that resonate with our lived reality.

We see figures like Sonam Wangchuk, a Padma Shri awardee, resorting to hunger strikes for Ladakh's rights, and we understand the desperation. His wife, Gitanjali Angmo, stated, 'Nothing should be administered to Sonam Wangchuk without my consent,' highlighting the stakes. Meanwhile, millions of us navigate the labyrinth of entrance exams like JEE, only to face a job market that treats our qualifications as mere suggestions. We need real-world readiness, not just JEE scores. 3. **Environmental Action:** Immediate, science-based policies to combat climate change, protecting our planet for generations to come. 4. **Digital Rights:** Net neutrality, data privacy, and accessible, affordable internet for all. 5. **Mental Health Parity:** Accessible and destigmatized mental healthcare services, recognizing the toll of societal pressures.

Beyond the Protest: Building a Real Alternative

We are inspired by activists, but we know that sustained change requires more than sporadic protests. We need a political force that reflects our generation's values and pragmatism. We're tired of the political discourse that seems to operate in a vacuum, disconnected from the anxieties of young Indians. The BJP’s rhetoric often feels out of touch, and the opposition offers little in the way of a compelling alternative.
