Voting Freedom: An MP can vote "NO" on a government bill, side with their local constituents, or vote with the opposition on non-confidence matters without facing disqualification.
Anti-Defection Guardrail: If the MP formally leaves their party or joins another party during their term, they are immediately disqualified and lose their parliamentary seat.
Result: It separates policy dissent from party switching. An MP stays true to their electoral ticket, but they aren't bound to blindly support every piece of legislation pushed by party bosses.
