Exploitation of students, killing of dreams

I spent two long, excruciating, almost dehumanizing years preparing for NEET-UG aspirant. Why I was preparing for NEET is a whole another issue that needs to be addressed as well. Unfortunately, my plan for my life and my parent's plan for my life happened to be poles apart. I had decided on opting Arts, score excellently in boards and then study in some elite university like Oxford. My parents decided that I'll study Science first, do MBBS, and then follow my 'hobby' like a part-time job.

So my mother and I moved to Surat (city) and lived in a rented apartment since there is no good coaching centre in my T/O, which is a government township. Surat is 80 kms from township.

And this is where I started to know the reality of the system. No one could ever imagine how I spent these two years, shutting out the thousands and thousands of stories and millions of characters in my mind. Even while studying human heart, and Newton's Laws of Motions, I saw my characters. They haunted me. But I went through it only because my father promised me that he will let me persuade Arts if I manage to bring a good score in NEET. I joined a coaching institute in 2024. And ever since then, NEET has been a mess for three consecutive years.

This year, after giving NEET, after giving my best. I finally let my thoughts flow. I finally thought now I would be able to think about what I want to do ahead, about convincing my father that I don't want to do MBBS because I dont want to spend another five years studying something I feel nothing for. And that's when I got the news that the paper had leaked. And I had to study again.

The first day, I opened the book that I thought I would never see again, and my eyes literally filled. From the weight of all this. Over two years, I saw how even a coaching institution that is KNOWN for being student-orientated can be so selfish. Separate batches for toppers, separate teachers for them, separate exams and facilities.

And now I'm completely convinced that the Modi Government is good at nothing but only handling the terrorists, that too because he is anti-Muslim. He has not done a single thing about the education system. Democracy is of the poeple, by the people and for the people. Today, democracy is of the powerful, by the powerful, for the powerful.
