Illegal price exploitation by private schools forcing parents to purchase expensive stationery and books from designated vendors, violating CBSE guidelines.
My sister faces illegal exploitation at her school. The institution operates in a temple that hosts low-budget commercial weddings at night, completely violating safety and infrastructure laws. Academically, the school fails to provide basic guidance, using low-qualified teachers and offering a poor standard of education. Furthermore, they enforce a monopoly on specific, overpriced books unavailable in the open market. When our family objects to these inflated prices, the administration uses illegal threats and humiliation on my sister, claiming they will cancel her admission and expel her. Under the Right to Education (RTE) Act and board regulations, every single one of these actions is a punishable offense. No school can threaten or harass an 8th-grade student over stationery sales. We have to endure this for the admission.
