Complaint Regarding Electricity Supply and Billing System

A K BREQ / 18655
Bahadurgarh, Jhajjar, Haryana

When electricity meters were shifted outside homes onto poles, consumers were informed that this would ensure 24-hour power supply. However, power cuts still occur frequently, and in many cases electricity is unavailable for long hours.

Another issue is the two-month billing system. Since electricity rates and subsidies are based on monthly consumption slabs, consumers do not receive the full benefit when two months are combined into one bill, resulting in higher charges.

Complaint resolution is also slow, and consumers are often asked to wait 24 hours before any action is taken.

Suggestions:

Electricity bills should be issued monthly. Consumers should receive full monthly subsidy benefits. Power supply should be improved and made more reliable. Complaints should be resolved within a fixed timeframe. Public performance reviews should be conducted regularly: Sarpanch: Every 6 months MLA: Every 1 year Chief Minister: Every 2 years Minimum educational qualifications should be considered for elected representatives. Election promises should have clear timelines and accountability.
