The Administration is silent about 4 student suicide in NIT Calicut in under 10 days and no open notice to student community or the media . The Administration is not transparent and people are afraid to speak openly. Many fear disciplinary action, academic pressure, placement consequences, or financial penalties for protesting or questioning the administration. When fear becomes stronger than student voices, something is deeply wrong.

Recently, the C Gate route near MHB hostel — a path many students used daily because it was shorter and easier — was suddenly closed. Students kept asking for a proper explanation through emails and tags, but no clear reason was given by the authorities. Silence again.

At the same time, students are expected to pay huge amounts in fees, deposits, and fines, yet many feel there is little transparency about where money goes or why certain deductions happen from security deposits without proper explanation.

This is not about spreading rumours or attacking individuals. It is about asking why repeated student tragedies do not lead to open conversations, better mental health systems, or institutional accountability.

Students are not machines built only for grades, research, and placements. Pressure, isolation, and helplessness are real, and ignoring them will not make them disappear.
