Years of Delay in Justice Are Failing Ordinary Citizens Across India

Jeel D NandaniyaREQ / 20447

Millions of Indians face years, and sometimes decades, of waiting for legal cases to be resolved. Whether it is a victim seeking justice, a family trapped in a property dispute, or an innocent person trying to clear their name, delayed justice creates financial, emotional, and social suffering. Courts are burdened with huge backlogs while ordinary citizens lose time, money, opportunities, and trust in the system. Justice should not depend on patience measured in decades. India needs faster case resolution, better judicial infrastructure, greater transparency, and stronger accountability so that citizens can receive timely and effective justice.
