Poor Sports Administration Behind the Glamour of Commonwealth Games
While the government is preparing to organize the prestigious Commonwealth Games, the condition of sports administration in the host state presents a disappointing reality. The state sports authority and sports university are suffering from poor management and lack of experienced professionals. Most of the appointed staff are inexperienced and incompatible with the responsibilities given to them. As a result, hardworking employees who genuinely want to build their careers are often exploited and ignored. Moreover, students who join these institutions with dreams of learning and excelling in sports are receiving third-class education and training due to weak administration and unplanned policies. The absence of qualified leadership and proper guidance is damaging the future of young sportspersons. While huge investments are being made for international sports events, the government must also focus on improving the basic structure of sports education and administration to ensure long-term development in the field of sports.
