Municipal Immunity must be struct down, and the law must allow for municipalities to be sued
The law of this country gives immnuity to municipalities, and they cannot be sued unless someone sues under tort law. This needs to change. If someone dies because a part of the flyover falls on them, or because the road is dug up with no warning, the law must allow for the municipality to be sued, instead of doling out meagre amounts by the state towards compensation. this is the only way municipalities will be accountable and actually do their jobs. Only money talks, everything else walks.
