About the linguistic minority student problem

Subject: Urgent Complaint – Systematic Violation of Telugu Children’s Mother Tongue Rights in Tamil Nadu Dear UNESCO, I am Kethireddy Jagadish Wara Reddy, Founder President of Tamilnadu Telugu Yuva Sakthi. The Tamil Nadu government is deliberately destroying Telugu language among our children. They have appointed zero Telugu linguistic teachers. Our mother tongue examination marks are not added to the total result. Because of this cruel system, hundreds of Telugu families are forced to abandon their mother tongue and shift their children to Tamil medium. This is a clear and direct violation of UNESCO’s long-standing position that children must be educated in their mother tongue for proper cognitive development and cultural preservation. We request UNESCO to immediately take cognizance of this linguistic discrimination and initiate necessary action to protect the educational rights of Telugu children in Tamil Nadu.
