I am writing to you as a deeply concerned resident of Chandigarh to bring to your immediate attention the stark, alarming disparity between the city’s well-planned main sectors and its rapidly deteriorating peripheral areas, villages, and rehabilitation colonies.
While Chandigarh proudly holds the title of "The City Beautiful" globally, the ground reality in areas like Burail, Hallomajra, Ram Darbar, Mauli Jagran, Raipur Khurd, Vikas Nagar, Behlana, Kajheri, Maloya, Dadu Majra, and Dhanas tells a completely different story. These pockets are currently battling a severe crisis of rising crime, crumbling infrastructure, and a total collapse of civic order.
I urge the Chandigarh Administration to address the following critical issues with the utmost urgency:
