India's R&D spend is now less than 0.8% of GDP compared to China's more than 2%. This is not about 1 year or 2 but low investment in R&D for decades. India's youth will forever be stuck as delivery boys and girls for Zomato and Blinkit if we dont spend in R&D. We need a govt that is committed to public education and scientific research with certain mandatory spending and transparent outcome monitoring.
