Request for Support Regarding Continuous Harassment of My Widowed Mother
Dear Cockroach Janta Party Team,
My name is Prajakta Hiremath, and I am writing to seek your support for my mother, Mrs. Sharda Hiremath, a widowed woman who has been earning her livelihood by running a small dosa stall at Ramoshi Gate, Pune, for the past 22 years.
Until March 2024, my father stood beside her and helped run the stall. After his passing, my mother has been managing everything alone. I am married and live with my husband's family, and I have no siblings. My mother is my only parent and my only support in this world.
For more than two decades, my mother has peacefully carried out her business alongside several other food vendors in the area, including shev pav, sandwich, Chinese, pani puri, and pizza stalls. During all these years, there has never been any dispute with any of them.
However, around six months ago, a Manmohan Panipuri outlet rented the shop behind my mother's stall. Since then, my mother has been subjected to continuous harassment. Repeated complaints have allegedly been made to the Pune Municipal Corporation against her stall with the apparent intention of disrupting her livelihood and forcing her to vacate the place. Before they rented the premises, the same shop was occupied by Shanti Steels, and we never had any issues with them.
