RECRUITMENT MATTER OF DIPLOMA & DEGREE RAILWAY APPRENTICES

Central Government namely Ministry of Railways provide on job apprentice training on 03 categories : 1. Who complete ITI Course 2. Who complete Diploma Engineering 3. Who complete Degree in Engineering. In 2014, Govt. of India amended the Apprentice Act 1961 and directed all departments to make a policy for recruitment of Act Apprentices. Based on this amendment, Railways formulated a policy that when their agencies namely RRB/RRC issued recruitment notification in level 1 posts, out of the total posts 20% posts will be reserved for Railway Apprentices but problem arose since 2016, that they provide this reservation to only ITI holder Apprentices not for Diploma & Degree holders. We have submitted lots of memorandum before the office of the M/O Railways but they are not accepting our appeal and advised us to meet Minister. Our simple demand is to allow us in the reservation system under article 16 on equal opportunity in employment with age relaxation. Even we meet directors of Railway Board in New Delhi. They advised us to meet Railway Minister. On our issue, around 8 to 9 Parliament members sent letter to the Railway Minister. We have lots of evidence regarding our matter. We need your help and kind cooperation AVIJEET SIR.
