The underpayment of research scholars
In India, research scholars are being payed 37k per month, which is low, considering the amount of work a research scholar has to do during his/her PhD journey. Apart from research, they have to do TA-ship (Teaching Assistance) without any acknowledgement of that, it is considered part of their doctoral degree. The PMRF (Prime Minister Research Fund) is also unavailable for high-performing scholars for quite a few sessions now.
I am choosing a state and district here, just because without it the website won't let me submit the issue, but this is an overall problem in higher studies and doctoral degrees, and its disappointing that many people have no idea about this.
