Atrocities, discrimination injustice against girl child

Even to this day girl child is abandoned at birth or discriminated against her brothers, denied education, denied fair share in ancestral and parental right in property. this happens more in educated families than uneducated families and more so in cities. unfortunately it is not visible as most girls are simply brought up as 2nd class citizens by their own parents and brothers. Orphanages have more girls than boys. crime against small girls under the age of 15 is rampant. something needs to be done to end this.
